  1. Just wanted to ask you about '92 Lexus ES 300 cruise control issue I have. Thx.

  2. Norbert, That link above, you did click on it? Towards the bottom, once there in eBay there was ONE for a '93 ES 300. Isn't that what you needed? $39.99 buy-it-now.
  3. Norbert, you've definitely determined it's the cruise actuator? Where's that physically located? Under the driver's side dash? eBay. Do a search on cruise control actuator. Found some on eBay, used but working supposedly. Click on the following. Hope this helps. i.e. http://search.ebay.com/Lexus-Control-Actua...PageNameZRC0022.
  4. Maybe a custom fit with the mirror pockets is the way to go I think. Thanks for that feedback. :o
  5. Is there any one who can offer some feedback on Covercraft? I had a semi-custom Technalon block-it 400 for 150 bucks. Darn thing kept blowing off the car with the least bit of wind. Even tied down at the grommets with nylon rope a dope! Piece 'o crap. Any luck with the more expensive custom ones with mirror pockets? :P
  6. Yes I see what you're saying. However, also in your top schematic that you've shown, one separate of the cruise control module's (CCM) terminal's goes through that stop light switch AND on to the cruise actuator.
  7. It seems as though we're on the same track here. However, you've gotten into the cruise control issue a lot more deeply than I have. Electrical system troubleshooting wise. Even though ALL the bulbs had seemed fine anyway, I've only replaced the stop tail light bulbs with the longer lasting 1157LL bulbs but not the high mount tail (it seemed fine). I am also suspecting and have ordered the stop light brake switch. I'll hope it's why the cruise won't engage or work. The other possibilitity I had thought of is the cruise control steering wheel's stalk (switch). I can't imgaine the main ECM's going bad but it could I suppose. Let me know what else that you have determined. Thanks. Cruise control is typically disabled any time there is a brake light failure. And you MUST use OEM or equivalent bulbs with equal or greater current draw, NO LEDs, unless you modify the bulb failure sensor. Oftentimes not even the LL, Long Life, bulbs will not "trip" the bulb failure sensor. Driving around I sometimes see cars wherein the tail lights go slightly dimmer when the brakes lights come on. This is usually a sight of poor chasis ground connection, negative side battery return, at/from the dimming tail/brake light fixtures. :chairshot: Looks like your myth on tail light bulbs interfering with the cruise control is debunked here. Take a look at this link. http://gdl-online.com/bulb.html
  8. I would NOT get a universal cover. I had to return a Covercraft Evolution Technalon Block-It 400 to JC Whitney, recently. Now I'm getting the same brand BUT a custom cover with the mirror pockets. The wind is a factor. True, they do have tie down straps with an included nylon rope but still... They blow off too easily. They have a generous 90 day return/exchange satisfaction policy. Good luck. :D
  9. Airbus wants to talk with you. Please allow PM to be sent.

  10. The dash's cruise green light flashes when I hit the steering wheel's stalk cruise switch. Nothing, nada, zippo. Doesn't work. I changed all tail lamps. No dice. Next I'll try the stop light switch by the brake's pedal. Other than that, I don't know what else to focus on do you? RE: The following link debunks this widely common belief and myth that the stop tail light bulbs so falsely believed on interfering directly with cruise control functions. http://gdl-online.com/bulb.html
