  13. ok i put the air cleaner and maf back on and tried to start it. It just turned over no start. I unplugged the maf and it would start and then shut back off. Also when the maf is unplugged the check engine lite will come up with code 24. When the maf is plugged in i get no check engine light at all not even when the keys is turned on. I checked the codes with a jumper wire. im lost Thanks

  17. Just got the 93 es300 running the shop had the back camshaft off about 1/4 a turn. Starts up now but as soon as it starts it shuts off. Anybody know what causes this? car has sat for about 4 years.
  18. I have a 93 es300 if the timing belt breaks will it cause damage to the valves or piston? Or will it not interffer.
  19. My 93 es300 I am trying to set the timing but, I have the crankshaft and both cams set where they need to be. But the rotor will not point to the # 1 wire. I have pulled the distributor out. I have tried to line it up. The rotor will line up past the #2 wire. How do I fix this? Thanks
  20. My car wont start and I noticed the timing is off a little bit the rotor points to # 2 wire when it is at tdc. The cams are off just a little bit too. Would this cause the 93 es300 not to start or just run really rough.
  21. I checked the timing and the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys are real close. But the rotor does not point to the number 1 wire. It points to the # 2 wire. the camshaft pulleys are off very little. wiil this keep it from starting? It should a least fire a little bit Shouldnt it.
  22. I checked the plugs and they looked like they were getting fuel on them. I pulled codes from the ecu and nothing came up. the car ran fine. All i did was have someone put in a new raditor. Then when I picked it up the car would not start. Dont know what they did. I checked the efi relay and it was good. I am going to check the open circuit relay next.
