  1. All, Had a stuck CD in the player; removed the entire radio from dash; removed stuck CD! Reistalled now the volume has a mind of its own. The unit has power...the volume is hit/miss sometimes it works sometimes it takes awhile to work. Tried removing both fuses for an extended period of time, it reset the radio, however no volume. Is there a secret?
  2. Help! While attempting to load a CD I messed up and misinserted. I think the player thinks it has a CD but doesn't. Now the player does not function and all CD buttons are inop. Help!
  3. Shipped my 2005 Rx 330 to the United Kingdom via ship. Arrived in the UK with a dead battery, battery is now fine, however windows do not lower using master driver side controller. All windows raise/lower when using the indvidual controllers. All windows will not open/lower using remote or with key. Help, all fuses are good.
  4. Does anyone know the location of the headlight washer pump and how to replace? Mine no longer works after 109K miles.
  5. My wife has a 2001 ES 300 and the sun visor mirror has a broken cover. Does anyone know if I can replace the mirror/cover or do I need a whole new visor?
  6. That one is a joke/junk 100% for sure. Checkout the web-site: http://rs4performance.com
  7. Have a 2005 Rx 330, thinking about adding a computer chip to improve gas mileage and HP. Any ideas of what make chips are good? Thinking about RS4 brand.
  8. Sorry to answer a question with a question but you did replace with the exact same size tire, right? Same size tires.
  9. I'm betting you're not gonna like the ride very well at 40 psi. I'll bet you can tell the difference between what they call for and the 35. I have noticed that on my DIL's RX that at recommended pressure they all tend to wear on both inside and outside, so it is indicating underinflation. A lot of (car) manufacturers recommend pressure that is really too low for good mileage and wear, just to get a nice ride. The ride was fine and already have noticed better MPG.
  10. I have a 2005 Rx 330 and just replaced the Michelin tires with Dueler HL tires and noticed my MPG has dropped. The Michelins were qrap, however when I increased their psi to 35 I started getting 25 mpg. With the Duelers I get 22 mpg at 35 psi. Maybe I should increase the psi to 40? WSY?
  11. My 2005, Rx 330, with 68K needs the strut mounts replaced. The local Lexus dealership already replaced the struts, which was covered by warranty, as the vehicle had below 50K at the time. I'm thinking the dealership should cover the strut mounts? Does anyone have any information for me to use as ammo?
  12. Lexus figured it out...I hope. Strut mounts need to be replaced, along with water pump (covered under warranty) and valve cover gaskets (covered under warranty). :D
  13. I have a 2005 Rx 330 with 68K and have noticed rubbing/groaning noise from left front of vehicle after driving over rough roads. It sounds like it is coming from left front wheel/trans-axle and seem like I feel the vibration/rubbing/groaning with left foot. I have only noticed after traveling on rough roads going about 20 mph. The wife stated she hears it all the time and during left/right hand turns. If the vehicle does not go over rough roads then I do not hear it. Help?
  14. Anyone know what touch up paint to use for the wheels or there is such a thing?
  15. I have noticed the front passenger window sticks on the rubber gasket that lines the door frame. Anyone else have this problem? It causes a heck of a noise when you try to lower the window. Even leaves residual rubber(?) on the window. Tried everything to keep it from sticking with no such luck. It is a 2005 Rx 330.
  16. I have read a lot of these discussions concerning the IACV on the ES300, 2001 model. I have 115000 miles and having these same issues. Took it to the Lexus dealership and they cleaned it for nothing. Worked 1 good time since I received the car post cleaning. Took vehicle back, Lexus cleaned a 2nd time......but did not help. I asked Lexus, if they removed the IACV and cleaned, they stated no. All the discussions I have read have the valve being removed and cleaned, with successful results. Why doesn't Lexus do this? Is it really that easy to remove? One guy said if you change your oil you could do this job? Lexus quoted 200 labor, 200 part.
  17. Don't have to remove anything for access?
  18. Will tackle replacing the spark plugs....looking for guidance for the rear 3.
  19. Lexus dealer stated it was a strut problem
  20. Took my 2005 Rx 330 to the dealership today and quoted the problem that the 2004 version had, thanks to this post....fixed with no problems
  21. I have a 2005 doing the same thing
  22. I have a 2005 Rx 330 with 47K on it...just traded in my 2000 Rx 300. Love the Rx 330, however noticed a popping noise when making a left hand turn at slow speed....it does'nt do it all the time. Any clue on what it could be? Also noticed noise (when traveling over a bumpy road) like something is loose under the transmission selector housing? Taking it to the shop on Monday...still covered by warranty.
