  1. I have the first generation iPhone and an 2005 RX330. There are a few challenges. First, when the phone is "asleep", it doesn't always sync with the bluetooth. Sometimes I have to wake the phone up so it will connect with the hands free system. Then, sometimes there is an awful eardrum bursting sound that emanates from time to time when you try to initiate a call with the screen (versus from the phone), which stops after 1-2 seconds. Finally, there is some kind of problem right now with reception. I am taking my RX in for regular service this weekend and will be asking about this as I am beginning to wonder if it's some kind of software snafu that is impacting reception or if it's the antenna. In any case, it's annoying. Still, the iPhone (1st gen) is the best phone I've ever owned. It is an electronic swiss army knife. My recommendation is to go for it. --Lynn
  2. Does anyone know if there is a standard checklist Lexus uses before selling a used Lexus? We purchased a used '05 RX 330 a few weeks ago (only 12k miles! Like new!) And I'm just wondering, specifically, if they check things like the O2 sensor and MAF Sensor. With the volitility of gas prices, I want to be sure my RX is getting the best mileage possible. Also, it would be great to know (if it can be known) what they checked before they sold me the RX. Thanks for any input!
  3. Today, as we were all getting ready to leave the house, I told my five year old son to get out to "the car." He turned to me and... in that way that only a 5 year old can... said "Mommy, it's not a car! It's a LEXUS!"
  4. Two weeks ago we purchased a CPO RX330 with 12k miles. We selected the RX330 for it's pedigree (Toyota has been a great car for our family - we trust the brand), luxury, efficiency in size, gas mileage, and handling. All of the other brands you mentioned (and more) do not get the gas mileage the RX gets. In addition, I've owned a Ford and will never go back (I had a '98 Cobra Convertible - bought new off of the lot and had more problems with it in 22 months than I have fingers.) As for Lincoln... I wouldn't trust it since it has Ford pedigree in it. We also bought a used BMW and will never go that route again. The MB was a definite contender for us, especially since a good friend works there, but we opted not to go for it because the gas mileage isn't as good. Our next car will be a hybrid version of this vehicle. We're really enjoying it! We will also buy our next Lexus at Stevens Creek Lexus (where we bought this CPO.) They truly know how to make you feel like a valued customer and they were the most competitive with their pricing. If you get a chance, look at their service center on-line. It is a place where you definitely would not mind waiting for your car to be serviced.
  5. Thanks... I was kind of thinking that would be the answer. So January is the time, right? BTW... LOVE the Cornholio! :)
  6. Does anyone know when the latest revision comes out? Since the last one came out in January, am I to believe we will see another one out in January 2007? We just purchased an 05 RX 330 and went on a trip into the eastern (woodsy) parts of California. A lot of the places up there weren't included in this disk. It also took us out into the backroads looking for a Starbucks -- misleading us. The Starbucks in question was actually in town. (OY! Like I would've figured that one out if I didn't have a Nav and used my wits, instead!) Anyway, I'm trusting that the next version of the disk will correct things like this. Have you all known that to be the case? Or are the changes pretty miniscule? Thanks for any help! This looks like a great forum! :)
