  1. Oh, well...I had a similar problem, with my passenger side tail light being filled with water and my lights wouldn't work (the light on my dash was lit too) the harness where the light bulbs are were all rusted. So I bought new light bulbs and it still wouldn't work because it was the harness that had rust inside and was probably just broken. I solved this by just buying a brand new passenger tail light and now everything works fine.
  2. Why don't you just buy new 92-94 Tail Lights? You can get both for around $150.
  3. this is really bugging me!! i hate to roll my window down because this is so noticeable and is exposed. This is probably the 1st thing I want to fix on this car (non mechanical wise) so I am just wondering how much would it cost to fix this and what's the best possible route?? Is it something you can easily remove and replace the part with someone parting out their SC or from a junkyard? I'm assuming it just comes off easy around the window.
  4. WOW! Well you're right! Right after I took that picture, I put in $20 of gas (5.765 gal) and today it was running about that low again, so I decided to fill a gallon of gas and put it in my trunk because I was on a mission to see how low it would go. I ended up driving around to about 135 miles on that 5.765 gallong of gas and the Low Fuel light went on, but kept fading off - fading back on. The needle was actually ON the "E"! So I'm thinking the car won't run out of gas until it's BELOW the E. I was getting tired of driving around so I finally filled up my tank at 135 miles. I put in 14.841 gallons, so that means I can actually go Over 300 Miles to the tank!
  5. are you serious? i could drive another 100 miles on that? it doesn't seem right, it looks so low so I get paranoid!! lol! Ok.. Next time it gets that low, I will still drive it! How much miles do you get once the Low Fuel light goes on though?? Im assuming when it goes on you have about half a gallon left in your tank so about 8 miles?
  6. how do I turn on the side lights? at first I thought this was the turn signal. when I turn my headlights on the normal goes on, then the high beams are the circle lights... then there are 2 other lights below it. I guess they're supposed to be the fog lights. How do I Turn this on?? Also, the "dim switch" when I turn it all the way to the left it dims good... but when I Turn it all the way to the right it has a click noise, what am I turning on by having it click? Everything looks the same.
  7. When I purchased my SC, it came with an Injen Intake...this intake is horrible and I want to go for the "BFI Intake" that everybody talks about. But, it seems like people are using parts from the stock parts?? Is it still possible to do the BFI Intake when my engine bay has this Injen intake already??
  8. I was running low on gas (according to the needle) and I noticed my "Low Fuel" light doesn't even come on. Here's a picture of how low my needle was. Is there a way to fix this? Or maybe I still had enough fuel for it not to activate yet? When is the Low Fuel light supposed to come on? My speedo & gas gauge needle is burned out so this is leading me to believe that the low fuel light might be as well....
  9. Thanks for that info, it helps a lot. My Intake was changed out with an Injen and I checked the MAF and everything seems to be plugged in correctly. Sometimes my idle is at 200 (When I first start it up) but after Revving it and heating it up it idles about 600. Is it possible to "adjust" the Idle by turning the dial near the throttle body? I'm thinking of doing some of the servicing myself like changing the Oil and Oil Filter and Transmission Flush, I'm thinking of using Mobil 1 5w30, Mobil 1 Oil Filter and Type T-IV Auto Transmission Fluid. but as for the rest I think I'm going to have a mechanic check it out and see if things like the Transmission Mount really needs to be replaced.
  10. Hey everybody, I just bought me a '93 SC400 with 150K miles and had a few questions.... Whenever I step on my brakes with a little pressure, the steering wheel shakes. Is this normal? How much am I looking at to replace the Climate Control cluster and the Speedometer Gauge needle light? When I step on the gas lightly around 20 MPH I hear this "clunk" sound coming from the back, then as I lightly remove my foot off the gas I hear that sound again. What could this be? My leather near the driver's window is peeling and can't fold back in. Where is recommended to go to get this fix? Does Lexus offer this sill replacement or can a normal shop fix this? How much should I expect to pay for this? Is there any way I can find out the Service Maintenece History? I want to see when this vehicle has been serviced. It has 150,000 miles on it and I want to know if the 140,000 mile service has been done, if not, I would need to get it serviced immediately. The middle console is very flimsy, I'm guessing the springs are shot. Has anybody replaced this before? It's hard to explain, but everytime my elbow rests on it, it makes a noise that it's loose. I've stalled on 3 numerous occasions. First time it happened I made a right turn and when I applied on the brake I noticed the battery light on the dash was on so I had to turn the key off and re-start the car. Second time it happened I made a fast left turn and I noticed the steering wheel was very hard to turn (no power steering) because I stalled. Then the third time, I had it in reverse and I stepped on the brake because I had to talk to someone and as I started to reverse I stalled! Had to put it in park, re-start the car. What causes this?? I noticed when I'm at a stop, my idle is like 200 RPM?? Is this normal? After driving for a few miles and I turn my car off, as I'm exiting I hear this very loud rattling noise coming from underneath. It goes away after a minute or two, but what is this noise and is this normal?? Thanks for any help in advance! I love this car and I guess I'm just being anal with some stuff but I'd like to fix these problems and the car would be perfect.
