bullseye exactly what palm beach lexus has been telling me since we drove the car off the lot in august 05 (2 trips back, one polishing and lube attempt, one new drive shaft, still thumping) I think I'd be ok with this whole process if I knew I was "on a list for mfr repair" when the fix surfaced. as long as the thump doesn't cause other problems like the xmission, and I can get a commitment from Lexus, I can stay calm about the investment. any insight mryellow?

was the last post on this topic really may 31, 2005? would think there would've been a post or two since then. we've got a 2005 gx470 took delivery in august. thump showed up within the first 2 weeks. "polishing" process didn't fix anything new drive shaft didn't fix anything the service writer at palm bch lexus said lexus was working on a permanent fix but it had been 2 years to his understanding that lexus had been "working on it". argh.
