Had 6 new injectors installed .. So far . No miss. Hope that fixed the promblem.

The injectors are being installed tommorrow . Hope this solves the promblem also .. already spent close to $2,000.00 trying to figure this promblem out . :chairshot:

BTW I have a Complete Brand new set of spark plug wires , cap , rotor button , bosh platnum+2 spark plugs.(aftermarket ) . If anyone needs them let me kno , You can have them for FREE ! I am stuck with them and have no use for them , Since LEXUS' Thought that was the promblem and replaced everything with there brand. Needless to say , I have used the same exact aftermarket stuff on my previous lexus and never had a promblem with them. Talk about a waste of money .

I ordered 6 new injectors , going to have them installed this weekend.. The lexus dealer Tested all the Vacumm and the intake hoses and said they was fine.. How ever today when I was driving , the car barly would go when I pressed the gas pedal , So I floored the SOB and needless to say it is driving fine when the car is in motion , however I have a exhaust leak up front somewhere now :whistles:

Ok. Promblem has got worse ..Can barly drive the car it is miss'n so bad. Took it to the Lexus Dealer First thing this A.M.. They started by doing a complete tune up (4 th one) Using nothing but there parts.. No help .. They completely Tore the Car to pieces and Checked everything including ripping apart the exhaust system (YIKES THE BILL I HAD TOO PAY). The result was they said the Rear injectors are bad and need replaced. Does this Sound correct for the promblems I have been having?

I feel like Screaming ! Went to the mechanic today . Drove the car for 25 miles with it hooked up to the Scanner . Nothing . Changed the Fuel filter again. Had the fuel system professionly Cleaned .. Still missin' .. Checked timming and ignition .. still missin' Found the big hose that comes off the air filter was busted to peieces .. Replaced that with a new one.. Car ran great for 10 miles . No Miss .. We'll now its back ... You can hear it bad in the Exhaust ...Any one have any thoughts?

As for the plugs , wires , dist.cap. All working 100% , There is no Miss fire in those .The car does not back fire . The missin' is at idel or when u come to a stop , but not when in motion..

3 mechanics check for leaks on the intake and such and found nothing ....

Ok When at idel the engine has a bad miss' .You can even hear it in the Exhaust , going putt puttt puttt. Car Shakes.

This happen after I had a complete Tune up.. We thought maybe we got some bad wires , but we have replaced everything 3 Times ( including Dist. cap ) and still no help . PVC , Fuel Filter has also been changed .The car is a 92 ES . Any thought? It cant be bad gas , Re-fuled twice already using different service stations . The engine has No Codes.

Also wanted to state , You dont feel the Car missin' when driving , Unless you come to a stop... And on the last dist. cap we had on , I touched one of the wires that was plugged into the dist. cap and got shocked to hell and back , but with the 3rd. Dist. cap now on , I dont get Shocked when I touch it.

What can cause slow/poor fan rotation,? When the Car is cold and first started , the fan dosnt move at all till the engine starts to warm up.

What would cause the Temp to fluxuate During driving?

Yes I did , Code 22 , Went to the Dealer and had them clear it for 70 bucks...

I pulled my cluster unit without disconnecting the battery. I have a Code 22 .. My machanice tried clearing the code and it still came back on showing code 22 . Did we not clear the code right the first time? Is there a easy way of clearing it?

I have a question on the cooling system on my 92 ES300 .. It has been Real cold here where I am located ..The tempeture gauge Has been staying at 1/4 unless your in stop and go traffic and going up hills , in that case it goes to 1/2 way. I was trying to remeber from my previous lexus that the temp always stayed at 1/2 way. Is it normal for it to run and stay that cold?

A few months back I traded my Es for a Acura TL .. I Have missed it ever since . Well I went today and found a Es I Traded my TL for. It is the Same year ES I had before "92" . How ever it is not plush like my previous ES . It Has cloth seats and no sunroof. How ever I didnt let that stop be from buyin it.. I can always get a Sunroof put in . All the needles work in the Cluster which I was suprised. I think there is a few things that will need fixed , like a broke dog mount and such , which I plan on takin here into the shop monday .

I traded my ES for a 96 Acura TL this week. Miss'n her already. Wanted to thank Everyone who had replyed to my posts in the past. I enjoyed Comming to this site weekly Reading the posts. I hope to be back in the Future with a new ES . I was kinda disappointed tho , I only got $ 1,500 out of her when I traded her in .She was well maintained since new and even had new leather seats , new paint job , and working cluster unit with all needles working. I just hope I didnt make a huge mistake.

Well found out what was the promblem yesterday , A Ground hog had chewed some wires to the power steering , I know this because it was in my 2006 Colbolt ( not even 300 miles on her ) and ate all the wires in the engine and decided to take a nap there after the feast.

Yes , you can see movement in the Resv.

I got into my car today, started it and noticed I have no power steering . I checked for low fluid and the level is fine . I took it into the garage and had it looked at . They changed the filter in the line which had no effect on making the steering normal . The power Steering pump is working fine with no strange noise's. What could be the promblem causing me to have no power steering? It is a 92 es300 with 220,000 miles on it. The system was flushed with a new filter about 60,000 miles ago. When i drove it home last night and parked it , the steering was fine .

I bought a used cluster unit sometime back for the needles , when i installed that cluster unit , the odometer never lit up , so i took mine out of the original cluster and put it in that one and it still did not light up . So i just popped of the needles and put them on the origanal unit .. Well I was playing with the cluster unit the other day for new lights and somoehow I fried the circut board. Needless to say I had to put the cluster Unit in I bought from the Salvage yard and The odometer will not light up . I even switched it with my original one and nothing . I Plugged the fried unit it with the original odo. and it lights up and the one from the salavage yard will light up with the original unit.. Why Cant I get the odometer display to light up with the one I bought out of a Salvage yard? Can this be fixed? Was a Chip removed to prevent Odo. tampering? I cant see no difference in my original circut board and the one I bought out of a salvage yard. I would really like to have my milage displayed , so I am able to keep on time maintance.

Any thoughts about this would be appreciated.. ( sorry my spellin sucks )

I wouldn't switch to Synthetic at that high mileage. Sometimes when you switch to synthetic at mileage that high you can develop oil leaks and blow-by.

I mean the brand name oil ..should i use mobil 1 instead of valv.

I have been using Valvoline high milage 10w30 oil for the last 100,000 miles . I was planning on switching to Exxon mobil 1 . I was wondering with the car having 214, 000 miles on it , would exxon mobile 1 be a better brand to be using? or stay with the Valvoline?

Do they Give off as much heat as the origanal bulbs?? Or does the led bulbs keep the cluster unit cooler?

Thanks everyone for the info. I ordered a filter following the posted link. After reading the posts and looking at pics , I assume I place the filter on the passenger side of the vehichle near the rear of the engine bay on the Bottom line? Or does it matter which trans. line it goes on?

I did several searches , nothing really tells me where I can purchase one.Can they be bought at advance or auto zone? Or do i Search on e-bay? Another question is , what am I searching for? Is there a Certian kind I should buy that everyone else is using? If you have any good advice on what brand or where to purchase one it would be greatly appreciated . I would hate to buy and install the wrong after market filter and do damage to my trans. I would also like to say SKperformance has some really good advice when it comes to lexus. Keep up the good work SK.

I would like to install an External filter on my transmission line .. I read several posts about it and like the idea. My question is where can I purchase a New Trans Filter for my 92 lexus? Is there a certian diameter I need ? Brand I need ? Where do I purchase these ?

heya , I have a Question for everyone .. Does your Tach needle go up and down , up and down When coasting down hills going about 40 mph.? You can also Feel it in the Engine ..This Car has always Done this Since I owned it...Had A Maxima that also did that..Is this Normal? just curious.If its not Normal what is the promblem .
