Wow, you change a lot of parts, but I would the same to get my car running smooth with no knocking sounds. One mechanic told me my rack n pinion was bad, but wanting a second opinion others mentioned that rack n pinion was great and did not need to be changed. I'll go ahead and change the rack n pinion and hopefully like in your case it gets rid of the knocking sound. Thanks SilverBullitt, I appreciate your input and information

Hi, I have a 2002 GS300. For some time now I have been having issues with a loud knocking sound coming from the front drivers side wheel. I hear the loud knocking sound when I am backing out of a parking spot, and sometimes when I hit a pothole or a speed bump. I lifted the car up and cannot see anything loose, etc. Any ideas of what this could be? Rack and Pinion? Suspension bushing? Has anyone has had knocking sound before? Thx.

Hi, The same thing happens on my 2002 GS300. My driver window goes down perfectly, but to come up it sometimes goes down or doesn't move at all. After a while it comes up good. This goes on for a few days or weeks then it completely goes away. My brother in law is a Lexus mechanic and I had him check it out. He nasically told me that the switch to control the window was bad and costs around $400. It's working good now, but who knows when it's going to die completely...

Hi everyone. Does anyone know of any good GPS car tracking system. I was seeing a show on TV called "It Takes a Thief" and they mentioned a GPS car tracker to track your car and alert you if your car goes outside of a specified perimeter, you can also remotely turn off the car, unlock and lock the car, etc... Does someone have something like this installed on their car that they recommend. I would like to get one for my 2002 GS300 and my wifes 2004 Honda Accord. Thanks.

I was supposed to have it installed today, but the shop canceled my appointment, apparently because of Virginia Tech shooting-like threats at NIU here. What that has to do with an audio store, I have no idea. So, now I gotta reschedule....maybe with a different place. Hi Mosh, Just wondering if you ever got your Navi installed. Hi guys, Congrats on your new Nav system. I have been looking at a few Nav, DVD systems for my 2002 gs300. My fear is that it comes out looking badly put together. It would be great to see how your install came out.

I can get you the Lexus manuals. The 2 volume set is $220.00 for your car. Kinda pricey but they're the official repair manuals. Thanks for the reply. Yes, that's a bit pricey. Can you share where did you get the manuals from?

Hi eveyone, The master window switch on my 2002 gs300 has died. All windows work except for the drivers window. I know it's the switch because I took the car to the dealer to have it checked. I was told that the Master switch was bad. I live in Miami, Fl. Does anyone know where I can buy a new or used (in good condition) master window switch in Miami or on-line? Thanks.

Hi everyone... My 2002 GS300 has 87,000 miles on it and I would like to change the brake fluid when it hits 90,000 miles. Just wanted to know if anyone has done this before. I can do simple things as a mechanic, but not a pro. Is this something I can do on my own or should I take it to a mechanic? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi everyone. My 2002 GS300 has 85,000 miles on it. Should I still be using 5W-20 oil no matter what mileage? Or what grade should I use at different mileages?
