  1. If the cds stuck in the clamper mechanism in play position you cant get it out until motor that has gone back is replaced. if just magazine stuck with all discs inside there is a manual release on top ot the magazine mechanism but you have to take off the top of the changer both silver metal and thinner black metal top. the 93s are all going bad. I would only recommend 95 96 changer for replacement. Let me know if this helps. ;) dcfish, I have the same problem in that my 92's magazine is stuck with all the discs inside. I took off the covers, but don't see an identifiable button or latch which would release the magazine when pushed. Can you drill down a tiny bit further? Thanks, Vince
  2. I also have a 1992 ES300. This is what I used: http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereoremovalLexusES300StrR.htm For the most part, these directions are right. First remove the clips inside the vent plenum. Then, if you look on the sides of the plenum, you'll see two holes (one on each side). (DON'T do the "...major pressure to the side..." like it says!) Using a bent coathanger with a small hook on the end, pull gently while prying along the TOP seam of the same plenum, same general side. The plenum should release on that side. Then do the other side. It's easy.
  3. I had exactly the same problem on my 1992 ES300. It turned out that the rack was loose. Once they tightened it up, it was OK.
