I've gotten conflicting reports on how to have them installed. One person told me I could do it, the other said it would take an interiors shop 6 hrs to do it. Anyone with experience on this? I can't really get answers to my questions because there are only like 5 posts a day... i only bring this up because range rover owners seem to delight in trashing the LC/LX. though from what i see on their forums, they have plenty of their own problems. ← The best way to own a RR is to trade every year. Never own one that is not under warranty and alway have additional transportation if you do own one. In OZ and Africa they only use RR on pavement and never where a breakdown could cost them their life or safety. If they are going into the bush they drive a LC. If someone wants a "fast" SUV don't buy a LC/LX. If you want the highest quality and most reliable SUV then buy a LC/LX.
  2. I agree about the cheap tires. They should put C rated LT tires on a rig this big not passenger tires. Reguarding the original question. 98-06 are the same basic vehicle with some enhancements over the model life. Added electronic controls and of course that VVTi in 2006 model. Same basic engine. The best deal on a LC/LX is a low mileage used model. These vehicles should be good for 300K+ miles.
