  1. Couldn't send you a PM...??? I tried to send one to you also, couldn't get through. I assume beacuse I'm not a gold member. My email should be visible to you in my profile. If not, let me know and I will post it.
  2. Can you send me a pic? Does it include the airbag? How about the cc stalk? How can I contact you?
  3. I bought a FWD '01 with 79k on it last year. It now has 103k. I've never had any problems with it. I drive it fairly hard in So. Cali traffic. My only regret is that I didn't buy one with the wood on the steering wheel and shifter (see my topic "steering wheel needed"). I use it for everything, snowboarding trips, surfing trips, cross country drives, work vehicle, daily driver. It's fantastic. It's the most versatile vehicle I've ever owned. I used to do plumbing, and I bought a rubber mat for the cargo area, and would just throw all my tools in there. It still looks brand new. I put my 9'6" longboard on the top and take it to the beach. I use it for everything. It's never let me down. I think that they are the best deal on the roads here for a luxury SUV. 20 mpg, good price, comfortable, versatile, reliable. The MDX is also a great car I think. My only problems with them were that they cost a little more, you couldn't get them in 2wd in '01, and they wont fit in my garage. BTW, I dont think that a RAV4 even comes close to an RX. If looking at a toyota, look at the Highlander. Those are also a good deal.
  4. Yeah, I looked through ebay and saw those also. I looked closely, and they look similar to those stick on wood lam kits. I'd like to stick with the real thing if possible.
  5. Yeah, I thought that was extreme also. That didn't include the airbag, but it did include the cruise control stalk fortunately. I'd really like to replace it still though.
  6. So I bought an '01 RX300 with the leather wheel and shift knob. I love the car--except for that Steering Wheel and shift knob. I'd like to replace at least the steering wheel with the one that has wood. The only problem is that I cant find one. The dealership quoted me $19 hundred and fifty-nine bucks, which is about 1500 more than my budget. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement steering wheel? I've tried junkyards and ebay in addition to the dealership. I have the tan interior. I know that there is a parts needed/for sale forum. I searched through there and didn't see one. I cant post in there because I'm not a gold member. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  7. I like the lighter colors. I think that they look higher class than the black and dark blue. The darker colors, to me, age faster. My last car was black, and it only looked either awesome or awful. It was way too much to maintain the paint. It did look great for a solid hour right after I washed it though.
  8. The seats are wrinkled, but I'm only concerned about the dirt in the wrinkles. i tried some Meguires Leather care, and it worked okay, but I'm looking for something a little bit more aggressive and something that can get into the wrinkles a little bit better. No warranty. The only thing that the car doesnt' have that I think I would like is the wood on the steering wheel and the shft handle. Does anyone know a good place to get them? they are 3 grand from Lexus. On ebay, they are still about 750 or so for the set. I was thinking like a few hundered bucks is all. You sure do have a lot of lexuses LexKid....
  9. I just got an '01 RX300 with 80k miles on it. I thought that I was buyng a great car to put upwards of 200k on, but now I'm reading about some trans problems. Is that mostly on the AWD? (I got the FWD). Also, the seats need to be cleaned up better, is there any home solution I can make that would work? The last thing is the price. RX300's are a screaming good deal out here in OC. I paid only 16 grand for it--heavily negotiated of course--from a dealer. Seems good to me, what do you guys think?
