lol i wish man.. i can drop like 150 bux on a cd player... what do you guys know about mounting/installation kits? do they fill those empty spaces? any specific ones for a SC 300 (1992)?

^ LuxuryMods... most likely I'll pick up that spoiler from you guys but I was wondering since you're in SoCal.. can you recommend a place that will paint it and/or install it for me.

I wanted to replace my stereo/cassette receiver with a new CD player... but I found out that the stock one is 2.5 DIN slots, so if I want to install a new CD player, I'll pretty much have "empty space" showing in my dash? I don't know, but is that what's gonna happen? Someone told me to buy an installation/mounting kit... do you guys know of any specific ones for a 1992 SC300 ?

The thing is I obviously don't know anything about cars myself, and I'll be taking it to someone... but... before this I had a Merz 300E, and I took that to the same guy who only worked on Benzes... so now I'm lost as to who to take the car to for diff things...

It's a 1992 SC300... 1. Did all of these cars come with an amplifier and/or cd changer because I don't see any in the car (the previous owner might have taken 'em out). However, I don't see any buttons on the stock cassette player that would allow me to function the cd changer.... quite confused lol 2. I see the spot for the subwoofer in the back... if I want to replace the sub and speakers, do I do it from the trunk or take out the backseat? 3. Could someone make a list of subwoofers they know of that would fit in there without any modifications?

Cool... I checked on ebay, and found a spoiler (newer kind - the one that's raised)... for $125 and they paint it for 75 more... factory matched paint... Anyways, I'm planning on ordering this soon... when I come up on some money... and I was wondering how it works with the LED thing... I'm not going to be doing it myself, but if I take it somewhere should they be able to install it and make it work so the LED brake thing lights up? Is there any difficulty installing something like this? I'm just asking because I'll just get the lip-wing spoiler without the LED brake light if I'm gonna have difficulty finding someone to install it.

so you need the taillights PLUS a conversion module? what the heck is a conversion module anyways?

so the foglights are part of the bumper and not the headlights? for some reason i'm so confused about this whole foglight/corner lamp thing... what has changed and where has the change taken place

so the newer model wing will fit onto the older model car without any problems?

Man at first I was kinda upset that my dad bought me a 92... but the fact that you can spend a reasonable amount of money on it to make it look almost a decade newer is amazing.

I have another question... I read that they replaced the turn signal or something with foglights... I tried comparing newer and older SC cars and couldn't tell the difference. What exactly are they talking about?

No.. I'm not trying to make it look exactly like a 97... but I do want to make some minor upgrades. For example, let's say I want to upgrade the headlights, and add the foglights... would these things fit right in?

I've seen some of the SC's with spoilers... mine doesn't have one, and I was wondering if the newer models came with it stock, or if they're just aftermarket spoilers? Also, if you guys know of any place online where I could order one pretty cheap, please let me know. It's a 92 SC300.

I'm going to check that link out, but I guess I should've been more specific with the question. What I basically wanted is some ideas (things you guys have done to your cars to improve them), but just minor (cheaper) things. Engine swapping and body kits would be out of the question for me =( Can I get a couple examples of what I could do with the interior, lighting, other accessories?

What upgrades do you guys recommend for a 92 SC300? Minor things to make it look nicer and/or like a newer model.... Anyone know where I can get one of those lil spoilers pretty cheap? And how it works as far as putting it on and stuff...

Thanks for the help. I'm in the San Fernando Valley. You're right, I'm not mechanically inclined... I just want to do a few minor things to make it look a little better I guess. For example, on the Mercedes 300E that my mom drives, we made it look like a newer model by changing the headlights and the grill. Is there anything I can do to make this look like a newer model and/or "better" ?

Ok so my dad is bringing home my SC300 tomorrow.. it's a 93... and I'm really excited about it since it's my first car and all... but I was wondering about some basic modifications I could do that won't cost too much money... for performance and appearance... I'm thinking about tips, tint, and someone told me about a K&N filter (I don't exactly know what that is and if its worth changing)... anyways, any suggestions from you guys?
