  1. No problems at all. I just took it to a power car wash and everything is fine. No wind noises either. Hope this helps.
  2. No problems with accident claims as I had a minor fender-bender last year in my old car and they paid me 7 days later. I can't same the name as I use to work for them and they send me a nice check in the mail every month (retired/disabled).
  3. I also live in MA and needed a new windshield. Mine got scratched by get this.........a piece of ice on the wiper blade, it made a perfect arc. 30 years of driving in snow and ice and it had to happen on my 3 month old 2005 ES330. So I called around and after speaking with several glass companies they all refused to do business with my insurance company. I was going to call my Lexus dealer but I figured they out source it anyway. Safelite was the only company that would take my insurance. By the way the guy who installed it made sure I got the "Premium" windshield, not the cheaper one. This also said made by Pinkerton or Plinkerton. Looks 100% original. The day after it was installed we had rain and wind. Perfectly dry, no leaks. He put the mirror, rain senser and inspection sticker back on. I'm very happy with the out come. I also replaced the wipers.
  4. My sister owned 2. A 1992 and a 1994 RX330. I fell in love with the ES330 at first sight. It's on it's way to my delaers and should be arriving any day now. I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas to arrive.
  5. Thanks for the reply. Like you I'm a fellow HAM. k1mri :)
  6. After months of research on the web, KBB, Edmunds, Consumers and Cars Direct, I put a deposit on the ES330 2005. I think I got a good deal. $500 over invoice. The dealer showed me his invoice and all the numbers matched mine from the above named websites almost to the penny. After all was said and done (3 hours later) here's the breakdown. MSRP total was ..........$38,669.00 Dealer invoice was .....$34,254.00 MY COST was ............$34,754.00 savings of $3,915.00 off the MSRP. What do you think? BTY I'm located near Boston, MA Thanks.
  7. Just a poll asking "knowing that the Lexus 2005 has a known transmission (computer chip) problem dating back to the 2002 model year, would you buy a 2005 ES330? Why? BTY my sister owns a 2004 RX330 and that has the same exact problem!
  8. >> steviej Norwood is too far to go for me. I have been to IRA and Watertown on 'scouting patrols'. Thanks for your reply. Mike
  9. I'm just about ready to buy, I need to know Best Dealership in Boston area. Thanks very much!
  10. I found my answer here, sorry about that, but I do have another question. Does anyone know if there are any design changes for the 2006 ES330? Thanks very much. Mike
  11. Yes it was the Acura TL. Money's not the issue I just wanted some input. Also what kind of a 'deal' can I expect to make? As a soon to be former Chrysler and GM owner and this being my 1st luxury automobile I needed other drivers input. In about 4 weeks I hope to join the ranks of Luxus drivers! :D
  12. OK, I'm ready to buy my first Lexus......or......maybe an Acura. Convince me to buy the Lexus ES330. My sister owns the RX300 (her second) and her husband owns an Acura. I was at the Lexus dealers last week and they keep calling me and emailing me, when are you coming back? Are you ready to B-U-Y???? I'm leaning to the Lexus. What kind of a price can I expect off the sticker? Thanks very much! :D
