  1. My 92 Manual SC400 starts up fine cold. However, If I drive for about five minutes and shut off the engine and try to restart, it stalls. The engine rpms to about 1000 for about two seconds then stalls. It does that usually 3-5 trys before maintaining a good idle. I've checked the engine codes and it is normal. NO codes. The lexus dealer said the fuel pump and the fuel pump ecu are both okay. THANKS for ANY input.
  2. Hi, I hope you are fine again with your beautiful car. As I have exactly the same problem with my car, can you help me giving me some explanation on what you found out. Thank you very much for reply to ujakob@access.ch
  3. I made an importation of a SC 400 to Switzerland in 1992, when this model was not on the distribution list for Europe. No problems til yet. Since 4 weeks my local dealer is trying to fix a electronic problem: when I start my car after two three seconds the engine stops running. The fuel pump does no more receive electricity and therefor no more pumps fuel to the engine. Control devices for the engine and the fuel pump seem to be functioning correct, but there must be a sensor that gives wrong signal to one of these devices and urges the breaking of electric signal to the pump. Does somebody know of a this problem ? I thank you for your help. Urs Jakob
