  1. I have a 1993 SC300 5 speed manual transmission. I've driven it for seven years, after searching all over the west coast (I'm in the SF bay area). Found it in Portland, Oregon flew up and drove it home down the coast. Seven years, 100,000 miles and lotsa love later, life circumstances demand that I sell... :cries: Any suggestions about the best way to sell my Lex?
  2. I have the same question. It seems no one answered your post and today is the 30th. Can someone please have mercy??? :cries:
  3. My a/c started blowing warm air during a long distance trip. I took it to a heat/aircondition shop. This was the outcome: "Inspect pressure and found that system has enough freon to engage the compressor but it will not. We have inspected for codes, Code 21 store (solar sensor). Inspected fuses they were okay. Cleared code, but it reset right away. We have checked AC relay and have found that it will supply voltage to AC for approx 2 seconds, then will turn off. System will shut down power to AC clutch if it does not get an ac compressor RPM signal" Now...the solution to this (I was just faxed the estimate) is to remove and replace the AC compressor and AC relay. The compressor is $884 (parts) and the relay is $110. I am not a mechanic, so I have no way to assess this, but it seems to me that the problem is in the AC relay... why would the whole compressor need to be replaced? Any advice/explanation would be helpful. Thank you.
  4. I have a 1993 SC300, 5 speed. I bought it with 86,000 miles and now have 111,000. It's been a dream until just recently. It starts fine when cold, but when I make a short trip (to the store, etc.) I have real problems. The car starts with no problem, but then it acts as if it's out of gas, and dies. I have to rev it up VERY high to get out of the parking lot. Once i'm started, it's fine. It never happens when the car is cold, or has sat for a period of time. I just had a tune up, new plugs, new fuel filter, new air filter.... still have the problem. Someone please help.... :?:
