← A few bits of info for you. :) - The 01-05 grille bolts right on. - The 06 ones do not. - The 01-05 grilles are NOT chrome - The 02-03 GS300 SportDesign grille is shaped like the 01-05 grille and is partially chromed. - The 98-00 and 01+ grilles are chrome underneath the black paint. With a little work and one of various paint removal methods, you can make these grilles chrome. - The L emblem in the 98-00, 01-05, 06+ grilles are all different sizes and are not interchangeable. ← Thanks for the info. Has anyone tried taking the paint off the grille? If so, did it turn out and what did you use? Do you think this would work on my rims too? :D

I want to change the Front Grill on my 1998 GS 400 to a Chrome one. Will the Chrome Grill from the 2001 and newer GS's be a Straight fit or do i have to find an aftermarket Grill. Also i love the New giant "L" on the 2006 model. Would the 2006 grill fit the 1998 or not? Any Info would help.

I just got a 98 GS400. Its Gold with the Beige interior...i know its not flashy but at least its classy. I dont have alot of plans for it cuzz i had to empty my bank account to get it...but it was worth it. I plan on changing the front grill to a Chrome one and maybe some 18's next summer. I love the look of the Wood steering wheel on the 2001 and newer (Canadian model not sure about the American Model) and if its possible to upgrade to it i'd want to do that to. Its got the nakamichi stereo, which is good enough for me.
