You might consider staying with most of the schedule maintenance items that just make sense to you. The only reason I state this is regarding your statement about “the gas guzzling V-8” I own a 2004 GX 470 with a 4.7 V-8 with 223K miles on her with no issues other than expensive timing belt replacement(s) and paint fading fender flairs-I also own a 08 LS 460- Both have very good throttle response-but the LS gets what I feel is extremely good fuel mileage-on a recent 1,100 mile road trip-I averaged 26.2 MPG which I feel is great for a heavy luxury automobile. Don’t take offense, but it sounds like you keep your foot it it-hence the reason to service your car more often- P.S. it’s a good thing that you have a good relationship with your tire dealer-as you’ll be seeing him more often other than inflation checks- Enjoy being in the Lexus family.
