last ? carbon gs- where do i purchase the meguiar's clay bar? want to go to store and buy one/ not order thru website thx for your help my man

btw- your ride is awesome carbon gs so never used clay bar before... even if i think the bird droppings got into the paint a clay bar might work??

unfortunately it was SAP - no garage unfortunately tried to rub in zymol cleaner wax and looks like its in the paint for good. other than getting it repainted... which i doubt what else should i try- really bumms me out

thanks...i think ill try that. Clay bar is a good idea then you can get a polish perhaps locally by say meguires and hand polish those spots out also if the clay doesnt get them out . I though maybe they were all over the car then doing by hand would be work but you could do it. i was wondering if the clay bar would work on bird droppings that somehow got crusted onto my hood and won't go away after repeated washings. very annoying...

I have a 2000 gs300 with now 100,000 miles on it... i know i need to replace timing belt/ wghat 'bout water pump and should i also get a transmission flush? any other recommendations? thx guys

Hey Guys- I'm really wanting to add a small rear lip spoiler to my 2000 gs300 but do not think Lexus sells them to older used cars... Noticed on spoilerdepot.com that they have rear lip spoilers custom painted that utilize a 3M double-sided tapefor attachment Has anyone used this website/product?? Is it safe in extreme weather? Have 2 say, i feel a little unsettled buying a replica with no drill holes... but if i get some decent reviews i feel the look of it i worth the $250 Love the website/forum Take care! Polo

Ryan- I was recently in a flash flood and took my car to lexus to check out. I am experiencing the same problems u seem to be having. The mechanic think it could be the ECU #2 which provides power to the fuses responsible for windows/door/mirror/etc. { plus the fans on my climate control system don't work either} I would have someone specifically look at that.

Thanks for the reply. Yah, I still cannot believe it happenned to me. Car was flooded for @1hour then when rain stopped it proceeded to drain away. So ECU 'round $1200. My deductible is 1K so probably just pay out of pocket to prevent my car insurance from going up. So can they even check for other things... airbags,etc by running diagnostic check? If it works currently, how can they determine the long term consequences of the water? Curious by nature, so please expound upon your last statement, trust me I'm all ears or should I say eyes.

I unfortunately got caught in a flash flood and water came up to about 1/2 way up car and water collected on my floorboard. To make long story short dried out car and over the weekend jumpstarted the battery and car is now running fine. My problem is I have some electrical issues. I currently do not have automatic locks/windows/telescopic steering / and no fans working for climate control. So I took to lexus dealership to run a service check on it and they think it might be a [body ECU #2} which the mechanic explained controls most of the power to fuses associated with all of my problems. They are to look at my car again on Friday to determine if this is the issue. I guess my question is: Has anyone suffered the same fate and does anyone know how much it would cost to replace the {body ECU #2} Thanks guys- I am on this website everyday at work and look forward to your responses if you have any.
