For those of you that like to diligently maintain your transmission, what is the proper intervals to do flush or drains? I just spoke to the Lexus service center who recommended doing a flush every 30k and drain every 15k. I made it clear to the tech that I was talking to that I would do the drain myself and flush at an independent mechanic. So I established that I was purely getting information from him in case anyone of you are thinking his suggestions were skewed to capture my business. :)
But what do you all think regarding the proper intervals? Currently my 1997 ES 300 has 66K miles on it so I'm looking to do either of these soon.
I would like to do a full flush with Amsoil ATF on my 97 Es300. Could someone contact me (nathan.shih@gmail.com) or write out steps on how to do this properly? I have all the tools necessary but it seems like I will need 12 quarts of Amsoil oil from what I've read. Thanks in advance!
Hi all, I'm new to these forums. I have a 1997 Lexus ES300 that requires the routine 60000 mile maintenance. Any experienced advice would be helpful:
1) What is needed for the 60000 mile maintenance service?
2) Where is a good online store to purchase parts?
3) Any recommendations for a Lexus repair manual?
Thanks for your help!
