1998-2000 Ls400 Hood Release Cable Replacement

OK. Sounds like great instructions. I will be attempting this repair tomorrow. I got the new cable and hood lock delivered to me today. Will post my experience. -
Thanks Motionman. It worked perfectly. The cup holder assembly itself was not too dirty at all. But beneath it was a disaster. I sprayed some Teflon lubricant on the joints that swivel to improve movement. But I am pretty sure that the dirt (papers, toothpicks, etc) that were underneath the assembly were obstructing the movement. Saved me a lot of time.
