Lenore is right on! The transmission on our 2002 RX300 blew out after 48,000 miles, but was out of the 3 year warranty period.. Lexus/Toyota told us to pound sand. We originally bought the Lexus, brand new from our local dealer, because we felt they built reliable cars and would stand behind them. No and no. There are so many other great cars these days, that we will never go back to a Toyota product. Shame on them.
