  1. **Update** So a friend figured out the problem and fixed it. Hopefully this will help someone somewhere. After replacing bulb, ballast and fuses there were little options left. A friend offered to take a look and carefully observed all connections. Upon inspection, he found that right where the bulb meets the plug there was a little black mark and tiny piece of melted plastic. This led him to believe that there was a bad connection causing heat. It turns out the bulb had a dent where the metal connector is supposed to go and was causing a bad connection. This dent is a design flaw from aftermarket bulbs. Replacing with Sylvania high quality bulbs resolved the issue and both headlights are working fine for a few days now.
  2. Just got a 2012 IS250 F Sport and have the same HID issue. Passenger side turns on fine but goes out after a few minutes. Turning off and on again will make it work but only for a few minutes. Swapped bulbs and same issue, replaced ballast and same issue. Even replaced both 15a fuses for headlights and same issue persists. HID was a factory option and came from factory. PLEASE HELP...
