I have sought feed back on the issue of gas mileage in a previous post. My mileage is very low. I calculated my mileage the old fashion way thinking perhaps the computer was wrong. I was partially correct. The computer reading was high by one-half a gallon.
Around town, consisting of mainly short trips, sometimes only one or two miles, my wife has been getting 12-13 mpg. Yesterdays highway trip registered about 23 mpg. The EPA numbers for my AWD drive are 18-25.
Does anybody have a view on whether the city mileage, resulting from admittedly short trips at less than ideal operating temperatures, is within the normal range or should be discussed with my dealer.
