To answer one of your questions. You can use the factory lexus head unit with an aftermaket amp, you need to solder on rcas to the low level outputs back there and then find the turn on lead. I would stongly recomend that you run a new power lead from the batt and not to use the factory ground. I've got a 94 gs-300, when I bought it, it had an eclipse 5 channel amp in place of the factry amp, the guy that put it in was a moron so I had to rewire it. lexus deck, lexus speakers, and an aftermarket amp and it sounds great. Fm modulated anything sounds like garbage so if you want to change out the factory deck your going to need to custom make a dash kit. Mike
