junkyard is your best bet. however, removing the carpet, having it cleaned and re-installed with new (custom) padding may be your best bet.
never heard of your problem though

Just got the tip from a buddy of mine who fixes hit cars, tried it and it worked. Thought I would share. Worked wonders on a dirty 2008 rx350.
Picked up some super clean at wal-mart (10$ US) for a big jug, and a dollar store spray bottle.
For the leather, mix 4 parts water (800ml) and 1 part super clean (200ml) in a spray bottle (I used 1L spray bottle). Do not put too much super clean in the mix or it will stain the leather!!!
Spray all over leather car seats, let sit for 20 sec and then immediately wipe down with a micro fiber cloth (I use the yellow ones from Costco). The go over with a sponge with just water. Then let dry. All the nasty stuff, dirt, coffee stains, etc on the leather seats will be gone. I tried dish washing soap, spray nine, etc and they would not remove everything. This super clean stuff is a monster. Then spray down with leather conditioner (I use the McGuire stuff, also from wal-mart). Your dirty and nasty seats with be good as new!
Fir the carpets, you can use a stronger mix. Although the spray bottle mix above works too. same, spray down the carpets, let sit and then go over dirty areas with a micro fiber cloth. Then vacuum the wet carpets with a shop vac. Salt stains and some mud/dirt all gone.

buy a set with rims and tpms off tirerack.com in the fall. you probably have all seasons atm.
winters are worth every penny, I use them religiously.

no problems with it on a 08 rx350

LS460. if she wants an SUV, the RX350 is nice.
The mercedes Ml turbo diesel is a nice ride and fuel efficient, but only if she drives a lot.

hi, was going to run a can of seafoam through my 08 rx350 with 80,000km.
we did it on a friends 06' avalon xls (same 3.5L) without issues.
has anyone else done it already or?

on mine it was under that big cargo flap in the trunk. ;lift it, there is a rectangle cover. remove it and the dvd drive it under that. they wanted 300$ for the disk and 1/2 h labor to install it. i was like... :chairshot: (cheaper to buy a new garmin unit...)
i d/l a copy of 9.1 of demonoid, burned it on a verbatium d/l and install it myself. saved 350$.

v9.1 is the latest for the gen 5s

i get wix filters cheaper than the dealer ones..wix products are made by amsoil so good stuff. i like to use long life filters with synth oil for extended drain itnervals
-
check the fuses...i replaced my stock battery with an optima red top and have no had any issues
-
ohh boy...you should have done one thing at a time and tested it each time. could be a bad distributor cap. put the old one back on and see what happens
-
I have used the lucas oil and transmission additives on old cars with issues...do not use it on new ones
seafoam worked wonders on my 08 rx350 with 80k miles, cleaned up most of the gunk in the engine. seems smoother and some more mpg.
Also used it on my cousins 06 Avalon with 135k km...worked like a charm too

for the read blade, i used the dealer one
otherwise for the front i bought some Michellin hydro edge reflex blades @ costco
I use wix engine air filter and cabin filters. the cabin one is a !Removed! to change but the engine one is easy. cheers

What type of oil (regular or synthetic)is required for a 2008 Rx 350? I bought mine used, and received a 2007 owner's manual by mistake. That manual makes no mention of synthetic oil, but I've seen comments on this site indicating synthetic oil was required by Lexus starting in 2008.
you do not needs synth for the truck, but i use mobil1 5w30 and wix long life oil filters in my rx350. i do 16000km oil changed with it

get a garmin and stick it on your windshield

I took the car back to the dealership with an old clip-on garage door opener and the sales guy who sold me the car did it for me. if you have one of the newer rolling coder garage door openers, you have to do it on your driveway. Check youtube for how-to videos.

same problem. inflate the spare and reset

Using shell octane 87 (been doing so since new) - no problems
same motor as the camry v6,etc - only the higher compression variants such as in the is350/gs350 need higher octane

I am going to install XM radio in our new Lexus RX350. I've looked at both the Vais and lexus units and decided to go with the Lexus unit. Lexuspartsonline.com has the two required part numbers (861000W160 and 861800W031) for $240 plus shipping, even less expensive than the Vais device.
I want to use the Lexus unit because 1) it is a single black box with a specific mounting location and comes with mounting brackets etc. Lexus has a 23 page installation manual that can be downloaded from Sewell Lexus on line parts but, even though it is very detailed, I cannot fully understand some of the location sketches.
Where exactly is the tuner mounting position? It mounts directly adjacent to the "Audio Amp". I think Fig. 3-9 and 3-10 are showing it just behind the rear seat but I am not sure.
Has anyone else self installed the factory unit? I would be interested in learning from your experience. For example, was it really necessary to remove the rear bumper to professionally route the antenna wire into the vehicle? I am thinking there are other alternatives.
I typically plan this type of activity but with a car that is only a few days off the dealer's lot I feel the need to learn as much as I can before taking it apart.
I am just wondering if anyone knows if you need another additional SM parts? Do these parts supersede the CNP-2000 or do I still need it?
Thanks to all in advance!
buy a used ebay unit (get the # and verify it can be activated before you buy), and put it in yourself, no too hard
