2000 LX 470
Had casing off of steering column this weekend. I had the car on in park (not moving at all) and was trying to lubricate some moving parts in the steering column. I have had some annoying noises coming from the steering column when turning quickly(backing up etc...). Figured out that it was coming from what looked to be a small gear like looking peice at the base of the steering wheel. I did not remove or "unhook" any parts or wires. I simply added some lithium grease to some of the parts with annoying noises.
Never corrected the noises, but when I looked up, both the VSC TRAC light and the VSC OFF light were illuminated and come on every time I turn the car on and do not go off anymore. No problems with driving yet, but what has happened? What do I need to do? (Note-brake fluid and all fluids are full / 60K service just done
????????????????
Thanks Tom
