  1. I did that when my bumper was off and it seemed to work better than the bfi. Mine has a 4" inlet that is merged into the stock openning. I modified the track on the stock piece to get better flow and more volume. It works well and is fairly stealth. Well worth the hour it took and looks totaly stock.
  2. With the tranny adjustment the car chirps second gear and shifts at higher RPM's. I have done this to all the autos that I have owned that have a manual kick down. This will only work on the 97 and later due to the electronics added on the 98 and up models. All you have to do is adjust the kick down cable tighter and it raises the line pressure and shift points. It usually take a few times adjusting till you get it were you want but is worth it. Still shifts like normal when cruising but acts more like a sports car when getting on it. I sell and install clear bra's so it was custom done by myself and its clear so not noticeable unless really looking for it. The lights are a 17mil protection film. I used blue on the headlights and yellow on the fogs and put some smoke on the tails for demo purposes.
  3. You would ask for 15% charcoal on the sides and back and 32% sungaurd endurance on the windshield. I am a tinter and did the work myself wich is why the windshield is done. The tint on the sides is sun tek high performance series.
  4. Since I am a installer of paint protection I will chime in here. The paint protection film is a 8mil urathane film. The film itself is 6mil and has 2mils of adhessive on it with 99% UV protection in it. There are several types out there and I will explain the 2 most popular. The 3M film is the oldest but not the best. It has a little more orange peel than most and a little more yellow color in it as well. You will not see the yellow in it unless put on a bright white car or next to its competitors product. It also has a hard coat that is more prone to scratches and stains. This doesn't make it a bad product but its just not the best on the market. Venture Shield is probably the best product with the best warranty on the market for paint protection. It is the strongest material and is optically clearer then the 3M or Clearshield product. Venture Shield is also more resistant to chemicals and typical road debris stains. The product will give a cleaner install due to the characteristics of the fill and the way it applies. I have installed Four different paint protection films for years and they have all had thier bad times. 3M has just recently redisigned thier film and its a little more on par with the Venture but still has a little ways to go. Most people will be happy with either product but there is a difference in the finished product so take a look at both before you decide on a purchase.
  5. It's a 97 and I have blacked out the grill and emblems. It has a custom ram air set up on it and the tranny has been adjusted to shift better but thats about it for mods. There is a clear bra on it and the lights have been covered to. Blue on the lights and Yellow on the fogs. Now if I could only sell it lol.
  6. There are pleny of deals out there on SC's. I bougt the 300 for the turbo option and ease of maintanence. Regardless of the book value they have been going for less than they are worth. I have been trying to sell my 97 for a while now with no luck and only wanting $8600.00 for it. If you really want a sc you might want to look at the 97 and newer ones. Seems like alot of ppl with the 96 and older ones are converting the bumpers and tail lights to the newer style.
  7. New mod to the head lights after cleaning.
