  1. top notch
  2. Yeah, as I stated earlier in this threads the older V12 jags are one of the most unreliable cars you can possibly ever own... Like I said in my humble opinion it is "pure British garbage"... Even the 90's British built Land Rover Discoveries trucks have constant electrical and leaking problems.. Sometimes you need to know when to cut your losses short and sell....It sounded like you hung on to that heap for a little longer then you needed to... Live and learn I guess, I have a simular stories as well....I can't believe the new crate 350ci GM motor blew on you, now that is suprising to hear...
  3. Old school :chairshot:
  4. 100% cotton
  5. The 350 crate motor 4 barrel has got to be more reliable then the original jag V12 motor that is prone to break downs, engine fires, etc...Pure British built garbage....
  6. disgusting
  7. Internet stalking... :cries:
  8. Is it abstinance or Extra innings? Well let's keep it clean and go with Extra innings... Los Angeles Dodgers.... ( I go to alot of their home games for good pass time with friends)
  9. There is no turbo kits that I am aware of that are designed specifically for the SC3's or SC4's...However, many have done a single turbo setup with the Garrett turbo's then fab all the turbo piping custom....They have custom turbo'd their sc's for as little as $1500... You can learn everything you need to know about turbo charging your SC's on the lextreme.com forum or Club lexus forums...Many threads on how to, and the best setups....Have a look...
  10. Female vocalist (Son of a preacher man is a good song, old school) Rya - I like to shock and mix things up via the slobber comment...
  11. NO not to the max....To the max would be supercharged in addition to my nitrous oxide system which I am trying to do now..... Just getting all the supercharger parts together now... Thanks....
  12. Any Toyota 5 lug rim with the sizes of 16's, 17's, 18's or even 19's will fit....You should not be having these problems, just about any rim will fit on these cars.... You can find rims on Ebay, recycler.com used, maybe craigs list or buy new at most tire shops... Good luck, maybe even you could find some on the forums.... I got my 18" Allessio Italian rims at a local tire shop...All 4 for $400....With tires $800.... They were on sale and I got lucky....
  13. There are no special made lexus rims, you can mount on the SC430 rims but I'm not so sure that would look great.... You can after market rims, and get a lexus center cap...That's what I did...
  14. Dark chocolate (good for you but not as good tasting as milk chocolate)
  15. Right on Rya.... Oliveoil (popeye)
  16. I went with straight thru mufflers that scream at full throttle that is why I went with resonators to quiet things down, I also deleted two cats and have headers so it got noisy... It's a lexus and not a Camaro so most want to keep it quiet like I did... I would say try and pick out some good flowing oval mufflers....Those are much more hush hush compared to the circular straight mufflers... I would setup your exhaust first then if it's too loud then look into some resonators after the fact...
  17. Spinach Rya - Bring a rain coat and an unbrella.....Oregon and Washington are pretty much rainy States....
  18. G-Dawg bro - A used Lexus SC4 torque converter can be picked up at most import junk yards for what I think would be very cheap...Don't know what they go for exactly...Ebay maybe check too...I tried to sell mine for $50, but ended up giving it to a friend.... Oh and yes, Lextreme is very reliable and what you do is just mail in your stock torque converter and paypal payment to Lextreme for $400 or any other payment method then Lextreme sends a recalibrated torque converter one to you...It's quick and simple...The Lextreme stall rate converter I think is identical to the Dragon torque converter from what I heard....I would trust it to be just right.... Go with the Lextreme torque converter exchange because it's probably your most cost effective choice to get the car moving at take offs... Normal tranny shops do not recalibrate stock torque converters... It'a a bit of a challenge to recalibrate them to say the least...
  19. Children :whistles: Rya, where are you going for vacation?
  20. If the guy is using mandrel piping then it is a good deal, if he manually bending piping to conform to your system then it is not a good deal.. Mandrel is ready made pipes with no bends with reduced pipe sizing... Regular exhaust shop bends pipes with machines and creates a smaller pipe size at the turns which restricts flow... You need to ask him exactly what he plans to do for all that money...Mufflers, cats, pipes even if bent piping is used is a so so fair deal for that money...More then I would spend though... Make sure you go 2.25 mandrel pipe sizing and or 2.50 bent pipe sizing....Those flow the best, anything bigger will be counter productive...Make sure you exhaust mechanic understands that, because most don't for the SC's...
  21. Rent-a-car
  22. They counted on older people driving these cars, and I guess Lexus didn't want to give them older folk a shock or heart attack if they floored the car accidently off the line...That's my guess... Maybe also Lexus was focusing more on topend power as opposed to the lowend...Don't know for sure but it's a joke.... What it cost me is alot....$900 for the Dragon Torque converter and $300 for installation... $1200 in total... If I were to do it again I would call the yards or Ebay for a used Lexus SC400 torque converter for like $50...Send that into Lextreme.com for $400 and have it recalibrated to the Dragon Stall Rate converter...Then install it for $300 at tranny shop... Then take the old torque converter and re-sell it and get my $50 back... $700 in total as apposed to the $1200.... There is down time when sending in your original stock torque converter so that is why I mentioned the buy and selling of a used one... That's it, any torque converter is good to go, it's the set stall rate that changes the converter..So whether or not you use your own stock converter and have it recalibrated or buy the Dragon it really doesn't matter... Hope that helps...
