  1. Thanks HEMI! I'm picking it up in the morning. Eminent White Pearl w/ Flaxen interior. Atomic w/ Black was my 2nd choice. I really think it was the best I could have done. Thanks!
  2. I just purchased a new 2016 ES 350 MSRP $45,594 and wanted to let everybody know what I was quoted. The first thing I did was call about 8 dealerships within a 250 mile radius of my home. I asked for the Sales Manager and explained to him that I was in the market to purchase a new vehicle, & was reaching out to Dealerships to get a price quote. I explained that after getting quotes I would be making my decision in the next 2 weeks. After I received my quotes, I emailed the 4 that gave me the best price. I said that everybody was within a couple hundred dollars of each other & asked if this was their final price? They all came back trying to get me to commit over the phone & put down a deposit. I explained that after I got everybody's best price, I would move forward tomorrow. Here are the results based on an MSRP of $45,594. I also qualified for 2.9% for 60mo & an additional $500 rebate thru Lexus Financial (with only a fair credit score). I ended up purchasing a vehicle from dealer 1 for $40,521 + TTT. Looks like 11.13% off MSRP. I am glad I did this over the phone / email! If I was in the Dealership, I probably would have gave in under pressure and paid a higher price. I hope this is good information for the Forum! First quoted price Final quoted Price Dealer 1 $40,922 $40,521 Dealer 2 $40,995 $40,995 Dealer 3 $41,035 $40,552 Dealer 4 $41,637 $41,637 Dealer 5 $42,866 $40,700 Dealer 6 $42,900 $42,900 Dealer 7 $43,137 $43,137 Dealer 8 $43,936 $43,936
  3. I have a few chips in my bumper & want to buy some touch up paint. Does anybody know if "Starfire Pearl" #077 (Lexus) is the same touch up paint as "Premium White Pearl Tricoat" #077 (Toyota). We have a local Toyota Dealer here in Tallahassee, but the closest Lexus Dealer is in Jacksonville. Thanks!
  4. Just did my 1st "DIY" oil change on my 08 ES 350 this weekend. Have you guys ever have a problem with getting the "cap" to drain the filter loose? When I try to loosen the "cap", the entire filter cannister loosens with it. I could not get it to loosen. It is tight to the cannister. The person that previously changed the oil must have put way too much torque on it. I believe the cap should have approx 10ft lbs, the cannister approx 20ft lbs, and the drain bolt approx 30ft lbs. I know there is an "o" ring, in there that should be changed. I've tried everything I could think of to get it off. Any ideas? Thanks, Dean

  6. Do any of you use a specific type of Fuel Injector Cleaner? How often? I don't have any problems, my vehicle is running perfect on 87 octane. I like to be "pro-active" when in comes to maintenance on my vehicles. Please let me know. Thanks, Dean
  7. Thanks for the info Rick! I'll give it a try. Thanks, Dean
  8. Thanks LexBob...It really looks good! I'm very happy with my decision!
  9. I just called my local dealer and they quoted me $74.71 OTD for Mobil 1 Synthetic.
  10. I just had my windows tinted & they look awesome! I chose the more expensive legal tint (30%). Not to dark.....Not to light....just Perfect! This more expensive tint is the Pinnacle Series by "FormulaOne". It is designed specifically to work without interfering with the advanced electronic systems in today's vehicles. It is "Non- Metallized" Non-Conductive Ceramic based film that is free of "conductive metals". The other less expensive tint "Llumar" contains the conductive metals. I didn't want to take a chance, so I went with the "FormulaOne". Both of these tints are American Made by a company "CP Films". The Pinnacle Series offers a Lifetime Warranty, Scratch-Resistant Surface, Maximum Ultraviolet Protection, Lifetime Warranty Against Color Change, and Maximum Heat Rejection. I hope this helps!
  11. Going to get the ES tinted on Friday 3/23. I'll update everybody then. Thanks, Dean
  12. Hey guys......I've tried to search on this topic, but couldn't find what I was looking for. I've noticed on my 08 ES 350 that when you turn off the iginition the radio/aux power shuts off. Is this standard or is it in my programming? Most vehicles that I have owned in the past kept the radio & auxiliary power on a bit or until I opened the door. Thanks for your help! P.S. Getting my windows tinted on friday and will update my post on that issue. Dean
  13. Friday for me......can't wait to drive the ES this weekend (my wife drives it during the week)!
