  1. Can you pinpoint which side the sound is coming from? Mine was close to the passenger side. One day I was driving and it hit me the wrong way (the noise) and I took the car to the dealer. They found out that my passenger door was missing 3 rubber graments. Noise gone. Me happy. Car is '01 GS3.
  2. Check to make sure your transmission is set to D not M.
  3. I have another car that is doing the same thing. Is this normally a tire issue or a combination of tire and suspension? What causes the shaking at a specific speed? Thanks for the info. Herk
  4. I am trying to cure the acceleration hesitation for my car. I have to my disposal 2 other GS's same year '01 which drive much better than my car during acceleration. I am not trying to fly of the line, all I am trying to do is press the gas and the car should move without any hesitation. In my car there is that millisecond before it finds the gear. On the other 2 GS's that millisecond is not there. Maybe I sound grazy, but I do have 2 other cars to compare. So I was thinking to change one of the ECU's to my car and see if there is a difference. I am not sure which one yet. Thank you for your help.
  5. Does anyone know the procedure for replacing the ECU unit on a 01 GS300?
  6. Which of the ECU fuses are you refering too. In my book GS300 2001 there is a #16 fuse (ECU-IG), #29 fuse (ECU-B2, #31 fuse (ECU-B1), which by the manual explanation none of those would indicate anything but (window, door lock, wireless remote, theft, power seat, clock, interior lights..) If you could point us to the right fuse it will make more sense. Thank you, Herk
  7. Thank you for your answer. Do you know if there is a list with the associated colors and codes? Also, if you the only thing you had is the VIN number, can you tell if the car has Navigation or Mark Levinson or HID options? Thank you again.
  8. Hello everyone, First time caller... I wonder if someone could explain to me the numbering system that Lexus is using on the plate by the driver's door. Looking at the plate under the barcode there is the following: C/TR=4P2/LEO2 and A/TM=AO3A/A65OE I think that the (4P2) describes some of the equipment. I like to know if someone has a listing of those codes and the meaning or description. I have seen in other cars the following (6S5), (1C0), (062), (202) Regards, Herk
