Sorry to bump an old thread but google lead me here and decided to give my 2 cents.
So I changed both low-beams today w/o removing the bumper/headlight housings; even with gorilla hands it's possible and doable under 30 min.
The right side is cake and if you need more room then unmount that relay bracket sitting behind the housing. The left side is more of a pain but still easy. disconnect the diag port on the fuse box to make more room and disconnect both harness that connect to the back of the headlights; I believe one connector is for the HID's, and other is the parking light?
