    Zenvo ST1 50S

For the low price of 125 Honda Civics, you can get your hands on a Zenvo ST1 50S, a Danish supercar with the power, price and rarity to match the Bugatti Veyron.

While the ST1 has been around since '09 in a limited 15-car run, the ST1 50S is designed specifically for the American market and will be available this year. This new version ups the power to 1,250 from 1,104 horsepower and massages out 56 more lb-ft of torque, giving the new model a mind-bending 1,106 lb-ft of twist.

But if you have the money and the stones to tame this supercar, you're still probably out of luck -- there are only three coming stateside. Naturally, one is red, one is white and the other blue.

I dont care who you are, if you put the pedal of this car on the floor (where it belongs), you will have:

    -Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

    -Pooped your pants.

-Either accelerated or decelerated the rotation of the earth, based on what direction you were facing when you punched it.

    :blink: :blink: :ph34r::wacko:Discuss.

  2. Good for cars? Doesnt hurt them if they are Flex Fuel Capable. Good for MPG? Not really, no. Its about 20% LESS effecient. When running it in town I get about 9mpg, normally I get 15-16. However, the subsidies that keep it at $1.50 a gallon (here) LESS than regular unleaded, make worth my while. Saves me about $50 a month! AND its a TON better for the enviornment.

So they better keep it. I might be kinda angry, and angry soldiers=bad things LOL (kidding, of course... <_< )

  3. I wish you lived in MD, DE, or VA...it is rare if I can't beat Geico. I don't blame you if there is that much difference on a apples to apples quote but I think you would be much better off to hand your policy to a Indy agent and let them look around for you. I have over 17 carriers I have access to. The 100/300 is good are your UM 100/300 too? Geico is famous for giving you lower UM coverage. Also just wondering did you find out does your state offer UM property damage?

100/300/100on all coverage, UM is 50 IIRC. I have dealt with geico in the past on claims, just never one that was my fault, they have always been fantastic, thats why I dont understand why you all hate them so much. Its not that Geico's rate is too good to be true, as much as it is everyone else is on CRACK to think I would/should pay nearly $200 a month for auto insurance on ONE VEHICLE. Especially when I have never had an at fault claim or a speeding ticket.

FWIW, Geico's adjuster has the damage to my truck at $607.50. I think i am just going to drive it like it is for awhile, see if someone else smacks it harder.

  4. Everyone else wants $170 a month or more to ensure my truck. I just got off the phone with 21st century, and travelers tonight. Both wanted around $170 for the same coverage I have now. Geico charges 60 a month for $0 deductibles (except collision) UM, and 100/300/100 coverage. I now have a clean driving record, but for some reason, EVERY quote I get is $170 a month or more for this truck. I am sorry, but $800+ every 6 months for insurance is kind of rediculous...especially with a driving record thats been clean for 5+ years and never having a claim.

  5. I had them, they never treated me right. Geico was half of what they were charging me. For full coverage on 2 cars, I was paying $2,472 every 6 months at 21 years old, with Bare minimums and $1,000 deductibles.

When I finally switched to geico, the premium went down and the coverage went up to well above state minimums, deductibles went to $500 and the price dropped to $1105 every 6 months. Still Expensive, but not at all unreasonable for a young driver with 2 cars, full coverage, and 3 tickets and one at fault accident under his belt at the time.

At the time I switched, I told the Regional Manager of USAA he had 36 hours to figure out why there was over a $2,000 difference between his quote and Geico's, or he could *BLEEP* off. I had been fighting with them about it for nearly 5 months. He called me back and told me there was nothing he could do, it was what it was. I said "OK, I will call you back in an hour to cancel my policy". I called geico, started mine up, and never looked back.

  6. Thats what I am thinking Steve. I will call them again monday (I have the appointment friday) and see what they say about that. I have no real intention of claiming it now. I will get a new bumper if I cant fix it. But now this has me questioning my insurance co.

  7. Damage:

    100_1268.JPG

    100_1269.JPG

Dont mind the corona PJ pants. I bust my !Removed! for a living, so when its time to relax, I RELAX. LOL. I am going to attempt a "Make it look a little better" fix that involves removal of the bumper, a 2x4 and a dead blow hammer...It may not be perfect, but at least it will be better.

  8. So I am in the gym...getting my sexy on. I come out and find a softball sized dent (no crease, weird) in my chrome rear bumper. I look at the tires of the truck and they have slid across the loose gravel about a foot. Someone hit me, HARD. No note, no insurance info, nothing.

Really REALLY ticked right now. My insurance wont cover it. $500 deductible on collision, new bumper is $330. All my other deductibles are at 0. Funny how the only one I forgot to change is the one I need right now.

  9. The only problem with hot doggin' on the beach with a V8 is gas. I got 12.2mpg in the sand, with a VERY light foot. So I think she is probably fine, not to mention the torrential downpour I drove through on the way home. However, now that you have said it, to ease my mind I HAVE to go rinse my undercarriage, for good measure. Indeed, I did forget about it.

Being that it was a 130 mile drive home, and half of it was POURING, I am probably ok though. ;)

Thats about it. Like I said, it was the most fun I have had in a LONG time. But man, I am freaking spent. We hiked/drove/played all over hell's creation today. Probably hiked about 5 miles total, to get to a few of those good spots!

^With regular gas out there at $4.22 a gallon, I am lost in deep thought, pondering just how in the hell I intend to get the Ram home...Thinking I might have to tap the IRA...:D

All in all, it only cost us a tank of fuel and lunch...but we had a BLAST. More to come as soon as I get the pix off of my wife's camera.

  13. The wife and I went to Long Beach WA today. About 130 Miles from Tacoma. It gets its name because, well...It is one long beach.

    100_1227_Large_.JPG

Claims to be the worlds longest...Its 28 miles from end to end, and ALL of it is driveable. I would imagine there is a beach somewhere that is longer, I mean California and Florida are chock full of driveable beaches to be sure, but the Chamber of Commerce is the one that makes the claim, so who knows?

We drove the ENTIRE length of this beach, from end to end...as far as we could.

The mutt, the wife (not pictured cause she would KILL me), and I all had fun.

I tried to get tail happy with the Ram, but the wife was yellin' at me when I got her spinnin' in the sand. Oh well. Not really safe to open her up with all the people and kids running around anyway. I did not see a speed limit sign, but on uneven, somewhat soft terrain, it was a rollover waiting to happen. More to come...

  14. I have thought about that smooth, but I really like the 09 ram. I would consider anything older than an 09 ram a downgrade. It runs good, does pretty decent on gas, I am not really needing to trade it in. But she wants an SUV, and if I could I would really rather her have a hybrid one. I think we are going to keep what we have for now, when I come back from the sandbox, we will have some money saved, I could prolly buy an 06-08 RXh cash. Since the truck is paid for, I really REALLY hate to go back to a payment. I am digging putting the $450 a month back into my own savings, rather than paying a bank.

  15. Well I finally have her sold on...well...you are never gonna guess.

A Lexus RX450h. The only catch is, to get the lexus, I HAVE to trade in the truck. I need the positive equity for a down payment. I have 20k in positive equity. That is, if they give me 20K trade for the Ram, they could put me in a brand new RXh, and my payment would be ~$450 a month. There are several issues with this:

-Back to square one, with one car. I am looking for a SUPPLEMENT to my truck, not a replacement.

-Would effectively WIPE OUT my savings to purchase a second car.

-the RXh would have to be outstandingly reliable with a rediculous warranty, since I have NO knowledge of hybrids and their inner workings, whatsoever.

-Services on the RXh are prohibitively expensive, more than even the maintenance hungry Ram. Not to mention the Ram is more forgiving if you miss one. If you miss one or 2 on an RXh, not only do you kill your resale value, but you couldend up with a $7,500 repair bill, or more.
