  2. i have the same problem in my 94 ls400 the wheel does not come down...how do i fix this exactly? You could try Google or follow the video tutorial below or http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4237 As other members have said you can simply fit a suitable replacement washer (try Home Depot) under the gear to get the same results. thanks that bolt to get the gear out is what i had trouble getting out lol. thanks for the youtube link. success lol. that actually worked.
  3. what? lol. what sensor? be more detailed. There is a sensor in the fuel tank...it lets the "cluster needle" know when it is full or empty. Had one go up on my Jeep before...they droped the tank and replaced it...not sure about yours. im going to take it to a shop. think they would know exactly whats wrong?
  4. i see. thanks for the good suggestions. last thing i do know there is a draw draining my battery. only thing is, would the alarm system be the cause? just wondering because b4 i put in my sound system and changed the alternator the first time i noticed my lights were dimming on the cluster. not bad but noticeable. so after a while got a new alternator again when it went bad. still i notice the dimming lol. i did the light test but how accurate would that be if i pulled out the fuses? also would a capacitor for the sound system help out?

  7. nor fuse or bulb blowing. well i never checked the fuse recently.
  8. as u can see im a newbie lol. just curious how big of a battery can i get because i have a sound system in the car. i see the space for a bigger battery than what im using now. where do i get those from?

  10. i will try it later on and see. i do know i have a power shortage somewhere. i used the light test on the battery but i did not go through with the fuses. I got down to the fuse box under the dash to realize some of my fuses were in fact misplaced. How many fuse boards are on this car anyway?
  11. I've had this problem since i bought the car. the guy i bought it from said its needs a new instrument cluster. Eventually i took it to a shop they say it needs a sending unit. How would i know which will fix the problem. The needle stays on empty with the light on even when tank is full. i see it do a little movement when i start the car but does not got past the E. Any suggestions. Plus the guy i bought it from has a garage charging 250$ for the fix. Funny thing he sold another Ls400 same year i think as well and the owner came back for their instrument cluster lol.
  12. i was wondering what is the reason for my brake light to keep going out? its the same exact bulb every time. i recently investigated the issue to see that the socket for the bulb was burnt out it seem like. so i went to the junkyard and pulled one out. i put it on mine and problem was solved for like 3 or 4hrs. the sensor is back on again. Any suggestions before i burn the car lol.
