  1. Is there any chance this will mess up the key or the car???

This program one worked like a charm for my 2002 Lexus ES300 ...

    To duplicate a key:

    1. Simultaneously depress and release brake and accelerator pedals 1 time.

    2. Insert existing master key into ignition.(DO NOT TURN)

    3. Within 15 seconds depress and release accelerator pedal 5 times.

    4. Within 20 seconds depress and release the brake pedal 6 times and remove key.

    5. Within 10 seconds insert new key into ignition.

    6. Within 10 seconds depress and release the accelerator pedal 1 time. At this time the security light starts blinking.

    7. After 45 to 60 seconds new key is registered and security light goes off (stops blinking).

    8. Remove new key and try starting the car.

    Thanks.

  2. Its new York, there is no way to avoid someone scratching or bumping the car. I gave up a long time a go and now just have the bumpers repainted every year or two.

My best story is I bought a brand new grand cherokee in 99 and on my way home from the dealership i stopped at the local supermarket, when I parked before I got out of the car someone hot the car with their dooor and left a nice nick in it.

Unfortunately we live in new york where no one cares about other peoples cars. If the potholes don't get you then other people will.

  3. anyone ever try putting IS300 17 inch rims on 02 or higher?

I have been shopping for rims and they appeal to me because they are factory rims and I could probablu get them for a better price than aftermarket stuff.

ALso are there any body kits for my lexus? I have seen the Eurbini and it looks very nice, however I am looking for something different.

Finally the transmission is *BLEEP*ing the you know what out of me. I tried to overtake a honda civic and almost lost because of an unexpected upshift.

  4. Hi, yesterday new york got hit by almost 5 inches of rain.

I have owned 5 grand cherokees and never really cared about harsh new york weather. I was a bit afraid driving the lexus in the rain. Once i hit the road I was amazed with how well it held the road going 60 in very heavy rain. I was absolutely taken away by how good it was in the rain. I was passing all the SUV's doing 30.

  5. I love cars. I would have an extensive collection which would include a 2000 LS400, one of the best cars ever. My brother had one and it was the most comfortable performance cars. It was very fast. You could do 130 and feel like your gliding softly.

Accoridng to what I have read bill gates use to always drive an ls400 when he was only worth a couple of 100 million.

  6. Thanks for the reply, I will stop by my local autozone. I bought the car through a nonlexus dealership. However it came with an aftermarket warranty which I can use anywhere. o2 sensors are not covered by the warranty though. How much can it cost?

Also I noticed that the top to the air box is loose. I dried !Removed! it but it still pops open .Could this be causeing the check engine light?

    Thank You

  7. Hi I am new. Just purchased a 2002 ES300. Love the car. It has 55000 miles mark levinson, navigation. Yesterday the check engine light came on. I checked the gas cap and it was tight. I am going to take it to my mechanic in a few days. I was wondering if there is a way to check the error code in the car.

I know that in Grand Cherokees there is a way to check the error code, it reads out on the odometer. Probably a way for the dealer to save money! I always did it on mine and saved time at the dealer.

I have a feeling it is the 02 sensor.

I put 93 octaine in it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Also are there any performance enhancments for this car, I am having trouble finding anything nice online.

    Thank You
