  1. I believe that is to pull the moisture out of the air to reduce condensation from the heat, assuming that the air outside the car is cooler and the inside warmer , causing a build-up on your windows. Just like if you run your heater in the winter and moisture will not leave the interior of the car without the A/C conditioning the air in the car, even though the air is warm/hot.
  2. I have a 92' also, and have never had an issue with heating or A/C. But as it is cooling down now, I went to test the heater and there is no heat at all, but the A/C works perfectly and so does the fan? So I too am looking for a little advice as to the route to approach the problem. Possibly Heater core? Anyone else had this problem?
