1993 Mazda MX6-LS 2002 Acura RSX TypeS 2003 350Z 2002 Golf GTI and now...1997 SC300 and 1976 280Z

Mm.....RB26 for only 3300...sounds too good to be true. A friend of mine boutht the engine from one of the company with "killer" deal a year ago, the engine never shows up. The rule "too good to be true = something must be wrong" has been true for my 30-year life experience.

One of the my 97 SC300's high brake lights is out, and I am going to replace it. Any body know how to do it? I already get the buld, but I cannot figure out how to get the the blown bulb and replace it. Thanks a lot.

Thanks guys. I did a search before I posted(even tried google to search for 2jz-ge oil change, drain plug, oil filter) and got nothing I was looking for. I found the drain plug and the filter, and just finished the oil change. It's a little too late, so I'll for leak tomorrow morning. If it's not too much trouble, where can i buy the undercover shield thing...I am going to dealer tomorrow to check the price and get the part number. Thanks.

I tried to change the oil for my SC300 the first time. As always, I assumed I had to take out the underbody cover to get to the drain plug and oil filter. So I drove the car up the Rhino ramp, and found out it's still barely had enought height for me to slid under the car. Anyway, I found out the cover is all mess up, I think I need to get a new one. Ok...now to my question....where the hack is the drain plug and oil filter?? I could not find them!! Picture will be great help. Thanks.

I think you can go to any good audio shop and they can custom make the dash to fit whatever system you decide to go with. I think for factory look, you can check out the eclipse navigation system. It's a double din unit with the big LCD screen. The web site is http://www.eclipse-web.com/.

Thanks...I am now torn between getting 18 or 17. I really don't want to lose too much comfort of Lexus(been driving cars more performance oriented cars for too long, it's really nice to go to work in comfort). I been doing little research, but seems like there is no sure answer if 18 will be a lot more harsh than 17. Guess I willl just flip the coin when I decide to buy the new wheels in next few days. NOPI? where is it at? I ran out of my vacation time, so don't think i can travel outside AZ until next year.

I really don't like the chrome wheels on my sc300. I found this combo on tires.com PRIVAT PROFIL PR8851440S 18X8.5 5-114.3 40SM Falken FALKEN AZENIS ST115 245/40ZR-18 93 B What do you think? Are the wheels and tires correct size? Is there any other suggestion on tires? I am not looking for all out performance, and like to keep the ride a little more on comfort side. Thanks. Newbie

It has 69K on it. So I figure after 2 years, probably is right time to swap or turbo charge the car. I am not searching for the "project" car so I can start messing with it, and hopefully I will be able to do the swap/turbo charge my own. Time to start saving money.

Volks are nice...but they are way to expensive for me. I am looking around 2K or less with the tires. Any recommandation? I guest I will have to go with the 17s instead. I get the SC300 for my daily driving, and planing to get a cheap project car so I can actually learn to work on cars. After a few years(hopefully I will learn enough by then), I will probably try to do the supra TT swap or install turbo(s). Thanks.

Thanks guys. I have a few more questions.... If I decide to go with 18-in wheels, do I need to go to the dealer to adjust the computer so odometer will read correctly. I never own an automatic car before. Do I put the car in neutral at the traffic light, or do I just keep my food on the brake? When do I need to use the 2 and L gear? Thanks.

Hi y'all. Just got a 97 SC300 last weekend. This is my first automatic car, and it is so nice now that I don't have to work so hard in the traffic. I am thinking to change the wheels on(chrome wheels are not my cup of tea), can some body suggest a good size I should be looking? Also, where can I find Lexus parts(The cover for the amplifier in the trunk is missing, and the motor/anthena for the radio are not working). Thanks a lot.
