I currently own a '93 SC300 that I bought new. It has 129,000 miles on it and runs (dare I say) better then ever. I recently purchased a '00 SC300 with 26,000 miles on it. I thought since I liked my '93 so much, and being concerned that it might be getting long in the tooth, I would buy the cleanest '00 I could find, and it is clean, runs great and looks new. However I am noticing a few differences, one of whitch is a bit concerning. My '00 doesn't seem as responsive as my '93, specifically at mild exceleration. Seems like my '93 downshifts more agressively. I was wondering if the shift points may be adjustable, as they are on many cars. Would appreciate any input. Another small difference is the change in the speedo and clock display. The '93 has a bright and very visable LED type display, and the '00 has a LCD type display that is much harder to see. Also does anyone know what is under the side ground effects that the '00 has. Personally I like the cleaner look of the '93, but thats just my opinion. I am thinking of removing them? Thanks
