  1. AWJ thnx 4 response. I am not really talking about the hardness or softness of shifts but more when downshifts kick in on mild excelleration. I know on other cars I have had these points can be adjusted through a linkage adjustment and thats what I am wondering about.
  2. I currently own a '93 SC300 that I bought new. It has 129,000 miles on it and runs (dare I say) better then ever. I recently purchased a '00 SC300 with 26,000 miles on it. I thought since I liked my '93 so much, and being concerned that it might be getting long in the tooth, I would buy the cleanest '00 I could find, and it is clean, runs great and looks new. However I am noticing a few differences, one of whitch is a bit concerning. My '00 doesn't seem as responsive as my '93, specifically at mild exceleration. Seems like my '93 downshifts more agressively. I was wondering if the shift points may be adjustable, as they are on many cars. Would appreciate any input. Another small difference is the change in the speedo and clock display. The '93 has a bright and very visable LED type display, and the '00 has a LCD type display that is much harder to see. Also does anyone know what is under the side ground effects that the '00 has. Personally I like the cleaner look of the '93, but thats just my opinion. I am thinking of removing them? Thanks
  3. :o Got quoted over $1,000 to coat front bumper and side mirrors with 3m protectant on my 2000 SC300. Seems very high. Anyone had this done or have gotten any quotes. Only one guy does it in my area. Can U say monopoly? Appreciate any response. Thanks
