I recently purchased a 2015 Lexus RC F, not from a Toyota Dealership.
I notice that Some 2015 Lexus have a chrome trim around the black grill and some have a matching black trim.
my Lexus may have been painted black. Is there a way to determine {vin number/} the original trim color of my 2015 Lexus RC F?

Generally, this sort of info isn't going to had just from vin#. The build sheet is where this would likely be found. Not sure how easy it would be to get on a 7+ yr. old car. Good luck.
