Henderson1 Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 I have a 2006 Lexus GX 470. The drain for the sunroof plugged and water leaked onto the carpet. Does anyone have any advice on replacing the carpet? All comments welcome Henderson
Steve Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Hi How about taking the car to a local detailer or may be over to use a wet vac to suck all the water out. Is the car also garaged at night? If so leave the doors open and air the vehicle. or is the carpet now starting to smell?
Posty Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Most likely is that your Sun Roof Drains are plugged. Mine did the same thing. I ran a snake down each of the drain tubes and cleared out whatever was blocking them. No more wet carpets. Drains are located at the forward corners of the sunroof. Open the sunroof and look for holes about 3-4mm. I used some insulated wire, about 6 feet of it and pushed it slowly down the tube.
