whiteRXPearl Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 The steering wheel controls do no light up when the lights go on. I have asked Lexus service people and they cannot give me a definitive yes or no. They said they asked the regional rep and no answer. I have other vehicles by different manufactures and they all light up. I purchased this car new and it has the luxury package. I have asked this question multiple times and the last time I had it serviced they thought maybe something in the computer program may answer the question but no information back. Wondering if someone out there with a 2016 RX350 can tell me if there controls are illuminated at night. Thanks in advance
1990LS400 Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 If no one answers you could ask on the much more active ClubLexus generation 4 RX forum: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-4th-gen-2016-present-273/ I would think that the steering wheel buttons should light up when the parking lights or headlights are on. Even all the steering wheel buttons on our 2012 Prius and 2014 Sienna light up. If they don't light up, the spiral cable behind the steering wheel hub could have a broken wire or connection. The lights for these buttons aren't going to be on a separate circuit.
jollick Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Just an FYI, my 2020 RX450h's steering wheel controls do light up when the lights go on.
