Jakeaa Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 So I bought this ES300 about 5 months ago, and it just recently started shorting out the gauge/instrument cluster fuse. I'm not sure if this is connected, but I just barely started using the A/C a lot as well (close to summer and all). From what I've read in other posts, it seems the only way to fix this is to take it to the ol' dealer and have them charge me an arm and a leg to troubleshoot it by hand. Is this right, or do I have some other options? Also, it appears that I have an A/C problem that's been previously posted (expansion valve needs to be replaced, A/C works intermittently). Would these two problems be at all connected? Thanks.
SKperformance Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 if it leaks in the dash and onto the wiring it can be connected take it to a good audio shop and let them troubleshoot it cheaper. I had a friends shop locally call me because they had a problmwith the car blowing fuses. It can down to the harness under the carpet being melted .the dealer might have never found it as tehy check components and replace before wiring.
dee2000 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Jakeaa, Did you ever find out what caused the instrument cluster fuse burn out? I've a similar problem recently with my 93 ES300. Thanks,
