bobvad
Hi All, I bought a certified RX 350 2010 model in 2013. Since then I was very promptly getting the services done. My car is at about 68000 miles. I recently went for an oil maintenance change to Lexus and they told me that I missed doing the 60K service and are recommending me to get it done with an estimate of around $600-800 . I read somewhere that it is not mandatory for these vehicles until 100K miles. Please do let me know if the price quoted by Lexus is correct or not ? Can we just do the normal oil change and get it changed when it comes to 100K miles .. Will it affect the car in anyways if we avoid doing this service ? RickC5
Hey, it's your car. The car is 8 years old, so there's no factory warranty to worry about any more. I would research what service would be performed at 60K miles and decide whether it's a decent value. $600-800 is a bucket of cash to spend is all they do is "inspect" a variety of things. I'm looking at the 30K service for our 2015 and noticed that most of what is done is inspecting stuff. Likely have to get it done to keep the warranty valid though.
