Knee airbag failed to deploy

I purchased my 2013 ES350 brand new from the dealership. A few weeks ago, I was in an accident in which the front end of my car hit the backside of another car. Both front airbags deployed and the driver-side knee airbag fully deployed. However the passenger-side knee airbag only partially deployed. Is this a known defect for this car?  What should my next steps be to report this malfunction? Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

What do you mean by 'partially deployed'...did it inflate at all or only come out of the housing without inflating?

Do you have any pictures of it once deployed?

The compartment that houses the airbag split in half and the airbag tried to deploy from the half that opened. Photo is attached.

That certainly doesn't look right...almost as though the charge was not sufficient to fully deploy the airbag
