jpmaccaro
I have a 1993 ES300 with 59,000 miles. It runs great. The temperature indicator needle in the past ALWAYS shown in the exact horizontal "3 o'clock" position. However lately (weather now warming up), I see that when stuck in stop and go traffic, the needle moves up to the "1:30" position. It hasn't gone near to the red area, but it gets me nervous! I checked the antifreeze....it's OK. Also checked oil level...it's OK. Any ideas? Thanks. Joe
mburnickas
I would check the anti-freeze properties, thermostat and water pump to start.
JPI
i would go ahead and check the fan. And also the power steering fluid. The power steering pump drives the fan. JPI
