vyhanh
Hi, I changed the oil in my son 91 LS400 over the weekend. I noticed that there was green fluid on the right hand side (driver side) of the cross bar (if you look at the car from the front). The coolant fluid in my car is red toyota. So, what could this be? Please help. Thanks VH 03 X5 4.4 99 ML320 91 LS400 92 Prelude 91 Galant
99lsguy
Well, I could be a engine cleaner or similar. Also, if your WP has been replaced, it could be the sealant/gasket compound OR a type of product that was put on during the WP to check for leaks..... vyhanh
Thanks for replying. Can you elaborate on the WP? What does it stand for?
99lsguy
Sorry...... Water Pump. It's usually changed with the Timing Belt, since yours is 91.....I'll assume its been done (every 60 or 90 K). Sometimes that green stuff is "rubbed" around the gaskets....then, if fluid leaks, it will turn color so that it can be more easily detected :D HOpe this helps.........
