Spear Wheel Holder ( The Undercarriage) Rusted

Hello all,

Heres my problem, I need to change my tire, but the damn spare tire release mechanism or spare tire carrier ( part # 51900-60190) is rusted. Im going to try some WD40 in hopes to release some of the rust. But if not I'm going to have to cut cable to drop the tire. Any suggestions?

should be SPARE daaahhh

It shouldn't be easy to get WD40 to that part.

If you can release the chain just a bit, you should be able to remove the spare wheel from the underneath
