Fashiano Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I scanned my car few months ago and it gave that error of air and fuel ratio sensor malfunctioning, and I have replaced the O2 sensor and it keeps repeating the same code at different times. Pls can someone pls tell what I can do. I also noticed that it consumes more gas lately.
VBdenny Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 As luck would have it, there is more than one O2 sensor. Some cars have even more than 2.
Fashiano Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Oh OK thanks bro, the fault code reads bank 1 sensor 1 which is directly behind the radiator and attached close to the exust manifold
VBdenny Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 You know very well if there are two and you change one, then Murphy's Law kicks in and it is the other. Luck of the Irish.
eugene.s Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Indeed, if one is faulty, your have to replace them all
