94 Sc400 Alternator Help!

so I have 94 sc400 engine and battery light is on I went to check the engine check sign but it just tell me to put my key in ignition witch I did but it just won't tell me the code and far as my battery light it wasn't on until I got a new alternator replace be cuz it wasn't working so I checked the new alternator in autozone and it passed but I'm still not getting 13 to 14 volt it's only at 11.88.... It has new battery, alternator, and fuse.... I need help I been trying to figure it out for last 2 months!!
