The biggest chatter about the new RX is will it get a third seat or not.The RX has always been a 5 seater since it's beginning in 1998. LEX-SV Posted January 22, 2015 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Yes, 3rd row rear seats are important features to offer in the mid-larger SUV market. I tend to have concerns about their safety, in small-mid sized SUV's. The rear crush space they occupy seems a bit vulnerable in a hard rear collision.
