lexusquiry Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I have experienced a sudden spilling of oil on the street while car was running. Seemed to abate when car was shut off. Had it towed to dealership. If it turns out to be the VVT-I hose, will it be covered under a recall bulletin or the like?
RX400h Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 If you do a search for "Lexus VVT-I hose, you'll find a link to the ES350 section of this forum, but dated January of 2010. Apparently, dealerships have been replacing the hose with another rubber one, but a metal version does exist. This metal one, however, requires more disassembly.
